Dragon Tattoo Trilogy Extended Edition Released November 22

Thompson on Hollywood

Music Box will be releasing the Swedish The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Trilogy: Extended Edition on November 22.

The boxed set will contain more than two hours of additional footage not seen in the theatrical versions of the original Swedish films (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest). Amassing a total of nine hours of story content and presented in six parts, this complete version of the international hit series (from the original long-form Swedish television series) restores notable characters and subplots from Stieg Larsson’s best-selling novels, most significantly in the portrayal of Erika Berger (Lena Endre), the editor of Millennium magazine as well as Mikael Blomkvist’s friend and occasional lover. Starring Noomi Rapace and Michael Nyqvist, Dragon Tattoo Trilogy: Extended Version will be available from all major retailers and online.

Releasing this set so close to the Remake is just brilliant marketing. I hope more people check out the original despite how good Fincher’s version is

It never fails.

I finally break down and buy the trilogy box set, and no sooner do I get the shrink-wrap off then comes the announcement of the extended version.

Why does God hate me?

Now THAT’S what I’m talking about…more of the original, I’m there! Remakes, hell no!

Favre is GOD

God would have to exist in order to hate you.

Is this set going to be English dubbed?
