Image Entertainment Acquires USA Rights To 50 Cent's "All Things Fall Apart" For 2012 Theatrical Run

On the heels of my post yesterday (HERE) about the film’s name change and being added to the 2011 Urbanworld Film Festival lineup… THR reports that Image Entertainment has acquired USA rights to All Things Fall Apart (formerly known as Things Fall Apart), the inspirational sports drama directed by Mario Van Peebles and starring Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Ray Liotta, Lynn Whitfield, and Tracey Heggins.

Image is reportedly looking at an early 2012 theatrical run, followed by a home video release.

Is there a media black out on 50 Cent movies? It seems like he’s always working but his films never distribute. Do they suck?

I really don’t understand why 50cent gets this much support for trying become an actor when there are hundreds of Really Good Black actors starving for work.

I’m sorry. Everytime I see the title of that film, author Chinua Achebe comes to mind (the novel “When Things Fall Apart).
