The 5th Annual Other Israel Film Festival, dedicated to showcasing the diversity of Israeli life with films about the country’s Arab citizens, has announced its full lineup. The event also announced that it’s expanding its efforts online with the introduction of OtherIsraelOnDemand.org, a streaming platform that will make films dealing with festival themes available for viewing to audiences across the country. The site is scheduled to launch in October.
“The topic of Palestinians in Israel has never been more prominent on the world’s agenda. With the much anticipated UN vote for a Palestinian State coming up this September, the lives of Arab citizens of Israel are about to get even more complicated,” said Carole Zabar, co-founder and Executive Producer of the Festival, in a statement.
The festival runs from November 10 – November 17 in New York City.
