Tokyo International Film Festival 24 Line-Up

Japanese film luminaries announced the 24th edition of the Tokyo International Film Festival earlier today. The president of UNIJAPAN, Hideyuki Takai, opened the event with Tom Yoda, the Chairman of the 24th TIFF.

Fifteen films complete the Competition Selection, out of 975 submitted films from 76 countries. Two hundred more films will screen at the festival in Roppongi Hills and Tokyo. TIFF opens with swashbuckler The Three Musketeers on October 22nd, and runs through October 30; Toronto hit Moneyball will close the festival.

Japanese director Shuichi Okita and his TIFF title The Woodsman and the Rain star Koji Yakusho also attended the festival announcement. Other titles in the competition line-up are below:
