Watch Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Face "The Thing" In Scene From Upcoming New Version

Here’s a clip from the upcoming reboot/re-imagining/re-whatever-you-want-to-call it of The Thing; this one directed by Matthijs van Heijningen Jr., and starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Joel Edgerton, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and others.

The below clip features a sequence involving Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje’s character, named Derek Jameson. Watch it and see if you can guess what happens next. Will he fall fate to the “brotha rule,” or live to see another day like Keith David in John Carpenter’s 1982 version?

The film opens on October 14th, so I guess we’ll have to wait to find out then… well, maybe a little earlier for some of us :)

@Betty-Nah, he dies near the end…ironically kinda like Keith David in the 82 version.

Betty Chambers

Oh, but does he die first? Curious minds want to know.

@Kia – I was terrified of watching any Alien movie even as an adult. I don’t think I’ve watched the entire film yet.

Some movies just need to be left alone, The Thing is high on that list. The 1982 version was so frightening (to me) that I had to wait until I grew up to watch it lol.

@Meem-Curious, what did MediaTakeOut say about him?

(and that’s not the most reputable site anyway) LOL

Ewww, looks like he’s become a real fatty. I guess Mediatakeout was right about him after all. Hmm, disappointing.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but everyone dies. It’s a prequel to the Kurt Russell joint, where they find everyone has died from the other Norwegian camp.

Sorry :-P
