Oscar-winner Andrea Arnold’s much-discussed adaptation of “Wuthering Heights” premiered at Venice to widely favorable reviews and plenty of comments surrounding the film’s decision to cast a black actor as Heathcliff.
The trailer, on the other hand, speaks for itself. It’s a rush of gorgeous imagery shot in Arnold’s preferred Academy ratio. Perhaps it’s telling that the trailer only uses a single line of dialogue considering the novel it’s based on is densely verbose.
The film, to be released by Oscilloscope Pictures, has no official release date yet.
