Watch: Everyone In Hollywood Gets Together To Make A Terrible Trailer For 'New Year's Eve'

You get what you ask for people, and with “Valentine’s Day” being powered to more than $200 million in ticket sales worldwide, a sequel was inevitable. So writer Katherine Fugate and director Garry Marshall are back again, only this time, they are going to get a bunch of celebrities together for “New Year’s Eve” a car-crash of bad music, cliched dialogue and standard rom-com tropes.

In case you forgot, “Valentine’s Day” actually ran more than two hours long, and given the number of storylines being tossed around here, this looks like it’s going to be a three hour epic. There’s Ashton Kutcher and Lea Michele trapped in an elevator; Josh Duhamel looking for the one that got away; Seth Meyers trying win $25,000 through his pregnant wife Jessica Biel; Zac Efron trying to impress Michelle Pfeiffer; Abigail Breslin flashing her goods to Sarah Jessica Parker; Katherine Heigl bitch-slapping Jon Bon Jovi and Robert De Niro standing on a roof looking disheveled. And that’s only about 5% of the cast. We wouldn’t even watch this on an airplane, but there is a demographic that eats this kind of pablum up with a spoon. And if that demographic includes your girlfriend or Mom, you may be forced to to endure this thing.

Anyway, you can ring in “New Year’s Eve” on December 9th. Trailer below or in HD at Apple.

i want to murder this film.

Oliver, that is funny. Remember, Hilary Swank is a two-time Oscar winner.

No one is even trying.

This is probably the easiest film in the world to make. You just pay a bunch of celebrities to step outside their homes in Manhattan for an afternoon, shoot a few lines of dialogue & then they go home with a heavy paycheck in hand.

I’d be surprised if ANYONE in the cast worked on this film more than 3 days.

Robert DeNiro in particular looks like they he shot his entire performance on his downtown apartment balcony (which he probably did).

Oliver Lyttelton

My favorite thing about this is trailer is that at the beginning, they seem to have used a take where Hilary Swank visibly struggles to remember her lines.

Ryan Oceancrest

According to IMDB and Wikipedia, Carla Gugino, Sienna Miller, Sara Paxton, Greg Kinnear, Cam Gigandet, Shaquille O’Neal, Meg Ryan, John Stamos, Julie Andrews, Frankie Muniz, John Lithgow and Ice Cube are all in this film as well but have not been mentioned in the publicity or shown in the trailers or the photos so far.
