Author James Patterson: "I KNOW This Is The Best Alex Cross Movie Yet."

Ok… seriously folks, although it may look like it, I’m really not trying to *pile on* Tyler Perry. I just post the news in the order I receive it.

So… here’s author James Patterson (the Alex Cross franchise of books) who we know was on set often, and has seen footage of the film (which is currently in post-production), talking to Al Roker about the film this morning, saying that “Tyler is going to blow everybody’s mind,” and “I know it’s the best Alex Cross movie yet.

Morgan Freeman for the rebuttal?? :)

I still can't believe he was picked over Idris for this role, shame on it all. Everytime I see Tyler I think about Madea, I'll be sitting this one out!

Tyler is loosing his fan base because of Kim K so who will support his movies now?!

Dear James Patterson, I KNOW I don't give a f***.

Tyler Perry's oeuvre aside, the man is not a good actor. I don't support bad actors, especially the ones who can't even coast on charisma (Malin Ackerman, Lance Gross, Paula Patton, Dane Cook, etc). No thank you.

If he actually believes this, it's time for Patterson's millions of fans to honestly re-evaluate his vast oeuvre of literary airport bookstore carousel hackery.

'I, Alex Cross' (2012) probably has the best cast of the three films – Tyler Perry, Rachel Nichols, Jean Reno, Matthew Fox, Edward Burns, John C. McGinley.

P.S. Looks like this is McQueen Vs. Perry Day on S & A

Let's be real. If Idris Elba played Cross Patterson STILL would have said the same thing. He's not going to bad mouth any film based on his book – especially before it comes out. The paid him to buy the book so he;s going to be nice. Though if Elba had played him there's a better chance I would have believed him

You can always go back to Steve McQueen. They just released a new trailer for Shame :). I'm just sayin'. OK, I'll go back to work now.
