Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams Listen To Meatloaf, Face Tragedy In Weepy New Trailer For 'The Vow'

“Life’s all about moments of impact and how they change our lives forever, but what if one day you could never remember any of them?,” Channing Tatum asks off the top of the new trailer for “The Vow,” spelling out the film entirely, of course.

Girl loves boy, boy loves girl, girl gets hurt in tragic parked-car accident and then can’t remember boy. Boy tries to convince audience this is simply not the 20-something version of “Regarding Henry.” Sigh. Rachel McAdams is a very great actress given the right material, but her agents still suck. Channing Tatum is trying to engender all the good will in the world by working with good directors (Steven Soderbergh, Michael Mann, Kimberly Peirce, Kevin Macdonald), but all the best intentions on earth can’t stop this film from looking like fromage romance 101 for teens (is that a Sara Bareilles song? If not, might as well be…).

Here’s the first trailer that was released a few months ago that’s not much different if you want to compare and contrast. Due on February 10, 2012 (right before Valentine’s Day, duh), this one has all the telltale signs of your formulaic weepie, but hey, we suppose there’s an audience for this one just like there was for “The Notebook” and another Tatum-lead tearjerker, “Dear John.” Jessica Lange, Sam Niel and Scott Speedman co-star. If anyone is listening/reading. Please, please, please stop putting fing channing Tatum in movies he is practically retarded and ruins everything he is allowed to be in. don't you notice the low box office on otherwise what would be a successful movie. Please stop unless you are just making movies for retarded hicks. at least give him voice lessons

I'm a sucker for Meatloaf. That scene already existed in my head, sans-car crash.

What the heck happened to Rachel McAdams' career ? The poor lady needs new representation ASAP.
