Check Out Idris Elba In New Images From Ridley Scott's "Prometheus" (Will He Live?)

So much anticipation for this flick; a little too much fanfare me thinks, with every single bit of news on it, no matter how inconsequential, shared across the web, sending fanboys and girls into near-orgasmic fits.

But we’ve avoided the bulk of it… except when it’s had anything to do with our man, and one of the stars of the film, Mr Idris Elba (and at this very moment, with just the mention of his name, women reading this are fanning themselves :))

Anyway… the image above is from a collection of newly released images from Ridley Scott’s upcoming sci-fi thriller, Prometheus, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, via SlashFilm. has a feature on the highly anticipated Summer 2012 film and scans revealing character costumes, sets and more

Prometheus, which also stars (in addition to Elba) Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Guy Pearce and other members of what looks like a solid cast, hits theaters in summer 2012.

Synopsis reads:

A team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

So, you know I’ve got to ask the obvious questions here… do any of these explorers die? And If so, will the so-called “brotha rule” apply?

I'm very much looking forward to this movie! Idris Alba is wonderful!

I can't wait to see this movie.

I kind of think the one brotha rule is out of place now. I haven't seen any horror/suspense films where the black person dies first in years. To be honest, I can't even think of one. I think filmmakers are aware of this rule and tries their best to make the Black person last

The cast for this is excellent, but the "brotha rule" may not apply here. It takes place in the ALIEN universe and may/may not be a prequel, but I'm guessing that since they're keeping the idea that no one had discovered the aliens & stuff, probably everybody dies. Or if they make it, their fate is just as shitty as if they'd died LOL With Bicoastal, definitely gonna be there!

I am so looking forward to this movie! 4 of my favorite actors….Idris, Noomi, Fassbender, & Char…okay well, 3 of my favorites. Go Mike!
