Occupy Oakland: Videos show violent behavior; group performance of "I Will Survive"

I realize this isn’t film related, but file this post under media analysis: In a startling disjuncture between reality and news headlines, I stumbled upon a Los Angeles Times headline, “Occupy Oakland: Videos show flash mob, some violent behavior” while looking for updated news on the protest activities in Oakland. Expecting to see some violent clashes between protesters and police, what I instead found in the accompanying video was a group of young, attractive hipsters engaged in a choreographed group dance performance to Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive.”

Some violent behavior?

Looking further, it seems the “violent behavior” referred to another video, but still….
