Palin Filmmaker Bannon Planning Doc on "Crony Capitalism"

Right-wing doc-maker Steven Bannon is apparently at it again. After his Sarah Palin doc “The Undefeated” stirred up talk everywhere about the former Alaska governor’s popularity (or not) as a viable political contender, Real Clear Politics reports that Bannon is planning on making a new film based on Palin adviser Peter Schweizer’s forthcoming book, “Throw Them All Out,” which details allegations of ethically dubious insider trading and conflicts of interest among members of Congress.

“There are all sorts of forms of honest graft that congressmen engage in that allow them to become very, very wealthy,” Schweizer told CBS News. “So it’s not illegal, but I think it’s highly unethical, I think it’s highly offensive, and wrong.”

While Schweizer seems intent on raising Palin’s status again as a Washington outsider who can help steer the coming elections, at least this is one conservative who seems generally concerned with the problems of the political status quo, seeing parallels in the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street movements. “This is a book about how a Permanent Political Class, composed of politicians and their friends, engages in honest graft,” Schweizer writes in his book. “Let’s call it crony capitalism.”

How Republicans can actually claim higher ground on this issue behooves me — are we to believe that the G.O.P. is less in bed with corporate interests than the Democrats?

Who knows: Maybe Bannon’s right-wing doc agenda will dovetail with Michael Moore’s plans. They could even collaborate on a red-meets-blue doc about the corruption of our political system due to moneyed interests. That’s a film I’d like to see.

While I cannot disagree with this man more on Sarah Palin, I think the point of this documentary does hold water. Instead of fighting each other, I think it would be nice if the tea party and occupy Wall Street movements decided to join forces against those who use the power and privileges of government to get an unfair edge over everyone else. Consumer sovereignty should not be violated.

Great, he is really good. I cannot wait to see his next film. You all should be too, as he speaks, tells and shows the truth. The liberals will hate this film and destroy it, just like they do everything else. They cannot see beyond their own faces. Just think Anthony you will have something to really write about it, that should keep you busy for a while. Doesn't it really bother you that they have thought to create a movie that everyone (who wants to) can see it, and form their own judgment, without you spewing your liberal thoughts and ideas. Yes, they will make hard earned dollars for it too, now that should get you thinking straight.
