Trailer Watch For Short Film “Maffe Tiga”

Trailer Watch For Short Film "Maffe Tiga"

We always like to showcase worthwhile and interesting upcoming projects and here’s another one. Below is the trailer for the short fim Maffe Tiga (Peanut Butter Stew) written, directed and starring  Mohamed Dione with Marie Josephine Zoumanigui, both of whom are natives of Guinea, a fact that was the inspration for the film.

According to Ms. Zoumanigui: “this movie is so important to us is because a lot of people don’t know of the talent that our country Guinea has. You always hear of Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, etc but never Guinea. The goal we are trying to reach with this film, is to put our country, talents and stories among the worlds film industry.”

The film deals with: ‘a struggling young African woman who finds that love is the true connection between her heritage and her future”

Here’s the trailer:

I totally support Mo Dione and co. in making this project happen. However, 2 main issues with this trailer: (1) no clear sign that GUINEA is supposed to be the HERITAGE part of the story. (2) as I've been taught to see trailers in 3 acts, this one had a "first" and "second" act, but the third seems cut short before the title. Vigilance!

MOMO…this looks REALLY GOOD looking forward to watching it!! x

stab us all.

CCFilms doing there thing. Looking for more to come.
