50 Cent's Indie Sports Drama "All Things Fall Apart" Heading To Blu-ray/DVD next February (No Theatrical?)

I guess this isn’t going to get a theatrical release after all.

Over the summer, Image Entertainment acquired USA rights to All Things Fall Apart (formerly known as Things Fall Apart), the inspirational sports drama directed by Mario Van Peebles and starring Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Ray Liotta, Lynn Whitfield, and Tracey Heggins, with plans to release it in theaters in early 2012, followed by a home video release.

Weeks after that news, they, for whatever reason, decided to instead air it on BET, which happened last week Saturday as THIS post by Emmanuel announced about a week ago.

And today brings word, via an early announcement to retailers by Image Entertainment, that the film will be released on Blu-ray/DVD on Valentine’s day, February 14th, 2012.

The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, but no word on whether there’ll be any extra features.

The suggested list price for the disc will be $29.97.

I watched it on BET, it's a really good movie, 50 cent acted well in it, great message. I wish it hit the big screen so others would have seen it

I thought it already showed at the theatres. It just showed on BET a week ago. With the exception of 50 Cent (his acting is deplorable), I really enjoyed this movie. Too bad it didn't get a theatrical release.

This movie deserves a wide theatrical release and it is a disgrace that it is going straight to DVD.

Haha, $29.97 for this mess? Who are they trying to fool?
