New Feature 'An American in Hollywood' Reunites 'Wire' Alums Jamie Hector, JD Williams & Hassan Johnson

Fans of HBO's The Wire can look forward to seeing the crime drama's co-stars Jamie Hector, JD Williams, and Hassan Johnson together again soon. The three actors are set to star in An American in Hollywood, a new feature film from V-Twinz Productions. And no, it isn't about a drug heist.

The film is about "a talented and accomplished young filmmaker from New York who embarks to Los Angeles in pursuit of the Hollywood dream, only to discover through his relationship with a beautiful feisty young actress, that Hollywood is not all that it seems.”

Hollywood is the first feature by V-Twinz, a Brooklyn-based company headed by twin brothers Sai and Venk Varadon, which has produced a string of short films, commercials and music videos thus far. The pair direct and produce the project, respectively. Jason Pollard (Their Eyes Were Watching Gummy Bears) also produces.

The project is currently shooting in LA. We'll keep you posted as we hear more.

Bodie, Avon, Wee-bay! I saw a post yesterday on Facebook. "The Wire" as a Monopoly game. Don't know if it's real or not, but… hey! Cool beans. Premise of the project sounds okay. Good luck.

I hate a weak Drug Drama like the next elitist but I absolutely deplore stories where black guys allow women to lead to there demise.
