Seth Rogen to Host Indie Spirit Awards

Seth Rogen to Host Indie Spirit Awards

Perfect choice. Producer, writer, actor, funnyman and soon-to-be-director Seth Rogen, who has a film in the Independent Spirit hunt (“50/50”), is hosting the Indie Spirit Awards on February 25, 2012.
The 27th installment of the Spirits luncheon ceremony awarding the best in indie cinema will be held at the usual blustery Santa Monica beach tent. The show, which airs live on IFC, will be executive produced by the returning Diana Zahn-Storey. This will be Film Independent’s first Indie Spirits without leader Dawn Hudson, who left to become CEO of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
“We’re incredibly excited to have Seth as the host for the 2012 Film Independent Spirit Awards and join us in celebrating this year’s exquisite films and talented filmmaking artists,” said Film Independent Senior Director Sean Mc Manus. “We’re also pleased to welcome back Diana. Her creativity and passion for independent film has delivered some of the Spirit Awards’ most memorable moments. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with this year.”

Come on guys

Wow big news, then i'm more strongly looking forward to watching this coming soon event. p.s. jokes also can be indie. ;d

That's really cool. I'm a huge Seth Rogen fan. Living in Australia, i highly doubt i will see this anyway.

now this guy is a reason to not watch bigtime!…only one worse is Will Ferrell…(yawn)…

In years? haha 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up was good. I had to watch it twice to fully appreciate it, but still. He was hilarious in Fan Boys. Great in Zac and Miri. Pineappple express was sheer brilliance! And I do believe that was no where near a flop. He was even great in Green Hornet. Yes, he was super douche but that was the role and Rogen played it perfectly. Everyone expected the typical hero's journey when the film was more of a buddy cop film that had you rooting more for Kato and even Budnofsky at times. 50/50 was a good film also. I wasn't as thrilled with it as most people (needed more Huston!) but it was still a good movie that proves that Rogen is not simply one dimensional. He can write really well too! Props to he and Jonah Hill who have broken out of their shells to not only lose weight, but add a change of pace to their careers.

david low

producer, writer, actor, funny man, director…and he sucks and all of them. why are we still talking about this idiot. he hasnt had a box office hit in years. he turns out flop after flop, and yet the media keeps ramming him down our throats. who is he blackmailing anyway? Go away Rogen, your 15 minutes are up.
