Watch: Kim Wayans Talks "Pariah," Taking On Dramatic Roles, What She's Been Up To Since "In Living Color," And More...

Video number 2 from my time with the Pariah cast and crew last week on the film's NYC press day… this one features Kim Wayans, who was a lot of fun to chat with.

She talked about her participation in the film, how she got the role as Alike's (Adepero Oduye's), shall we say, rigidly conservative mother, all the attention she and the film have received since Sundance, what she's been up to since In Living Color went off the air, what she has coming up, what she'd love to do next, and more…

Watch below… it's about 16 minutes:

If that dude says, "caricature" one mo' 'gin…….

I stumbled across this web page a couple of days ago. It is a great venue for information about African American cinema and theatre. This interview with Kim Wayans was fantastic. She is gorgeous, and such an inspiration. I live in Tennesse and haven't heard of Pariah before now. The deep south is where these kind of artistic performances can be of most help in showing young black females, and males what they also can aspire to be. Kim is a role model whom our black youth should emulate.

She's looking great nowadays! Loved the interview and I'm glad to hear she's been doing so much great stuff over the years. So excited about Pariah! (BTW: my goodness, she and Marlon look like twins. Jeez.)

Great interview, Tambay. I've always liked Kim Wayans, and I can't wait to see this film.

She out right Act/Sing(at least hold a note)/lucy ball Comedy, she's a vastly underrated triple threat…sun.
