Watch Two New Featurettes For Steve McQueen's "Shame"

Fox Searchlight has released two new video featurettes for Steve McQueen‘s NC-17 rated drama Shame; which, by the way, I finally got the chance to see last week and highly recommend :-).

In the videos, you’ll see some new film and behind-the-scenes footage along with interview excerpts of McQueen, lead actor Michael Fassbender and Carey Mulligan, who plays Bandon’s sister Sissy in the film.

Shame, which co-stars Nicole Beharie (shown in a few clips below), is currently in select theaters across the country. Click HERE to see if it’s screening in or near your city.

This film was nasty. Just…nasty.

Ooops, wish I added the following critique in my earlier post (sorry to post twice)… As a New Yorker, I especially appreciated McQueen's main characters, not born and bred New Yorkers, who could claim New York as their own, quite honestly, which is what I love most about the city. Everyone's welcome. His characterization of the city was also soooo true to life; for once, I felt like this was my New York that I'm seeing in a theater. What's interesting is that it took a Briton to put this reality on screen. Seeing a sibling relationship, as tragic as it may have been, was refreshing. The sibling dynamic was authentic in that they still shared typical sibling interactions despite their trauma which then took their relationship beyond what most would find as the norm. The movie was just smart and is not going to be everyone's cup of tea. I just found it brilliant and necessary.

I loved this frickin' movie. McQueen is so necessary right now.

shame on mcqueen

saw it, hated it!
