Zoe Kravitz Honored with Rising Star Award at 2011 Bahamas International Film Festival

Actress Zoe Kravitz was in attendance at this year's Bahamas International Film Festival in Paradise Island, which just wrapped yesterday Sunday, to receive the Rising Star Award.

The award is “given to an actor or actress whose noteworthy performances have put them on the path for elite and lasting stardom in the industry”.

Congrats to her!! The rising starlet was last seen in this summer's blockbuster X-Men: First Class and in the indie comedy Beware of The Gonzo, which is now out on DVD. She will be seen in theaters next year in Victoria Mahoney's Yelling To The Sky.

Kravitz is attached to co-star in the Mad Max Reboot Fury Road, which is set to begin filming early 2012.

I may not have liked X-Men: First Class, and her character might have been pretty thinly characterized, but Kravitz is sexy as all get out.

What were the winning films at BIFF?

Congratulations to Ms. Kravitz.

P.S.

Akimbo should be showing up soon to say that Kravitz took this award from Gabby.
