Rapper T.I. Reveals He Was Asked To Appear In "Tower Heist" With Eddie Murphy And More Top Hollywood Films

In the latest issue of Sister 2 Sister magazine, rapper T.I. reveals he was asked to appear in Tower Heist alongside Eddie Murphy but, due to his incarceration, missed out on the opportunity.

I was supposed to be in the film Tower Heist with Ben Stiller. The Eddie Murphy movie. I was supposed to be in that. And I wasn’t able, obviously, to be there. G.I. Joe II (G.I. Joe: Retaliation), they called me for that,” he said.

Back in 2006, T.I. starred in his first film ATL and has since appeared in Takers and American Gangster.  He was released in September 2011 after serving eleven months for probation violation.

Suprisingly, that’s not all he was called for.  He adds…”World War Z with Brad Pitt. They called me for that. The Joel Silver movie (Bullet to the Head) – I would have been co-starring with Sylvester Stallone. They called me for that too.”

Of course, we have no way of knowing how significant those roles would have been but the take away is…keep your ass out of trouble!

I'm guessing (and seriously hoping) he means they "called" him for an audition. Let's be real.

How can we expect the next generation to go down the "straight and narrow" when we as a nation keep patting folks on the back and handing out roles that should be given to hardworking REAL talented actors/actresses who don't have mugshots. I understand the business is about the almighty dollar, but can someone, anyone care about "image".

G.I.Joe II…to star as whom, I wonder? Hwood definitely sought to gain from his audience. Still havent seen Tower Heist.
