Giancarlo Esposito Cast In Upcoming J.J. Abrams Pilot For NBC, "Revolution"

Variety is reporting that versatile actor Giancarlo Esposito has recently been cast in the NBC pilot Revolution, from J.J. Abrams and Eric Kripke.

Esposito, who not too long ago was earning acclaim co-starring in AMC’s hit show Breaking Bad, will play “a southern lieutenant with an air of mystery in the drama about a group of characters struggling to survive in a world in which all energy has vanished.”

Giancarlo Esposito stays working these days.  And the man shines in practically everything he does, so I’ll be looking forward to this collaboration with J.J. Abrams.

Wow to his character description. I absolutely loved Giancarlo in "Breaking Bad". He should've been nominated! The economy of that performance was stealth and polished and pure gravy, baby!

It's a shame they killed off his character on Breaking Bad. That character will go down as one of the greatest television villains in TV history. Shocked he didn't get an Emmy nomination for his performance. Giancarlo is a brother with serious acting chops.

Isn't there a talk show on NBC called "The Revolution"? Or no?

He is a gifted, underrated actor. Glad to see he is working more consistently these days. I'm looking forward to seeing him here, but I hope he doesn't leave ONCE UPON A TIME, love that show.

Done right, this is the heir to the LOST network throne (WALKING DEAD is the second coming, hands down). He's gonna tear Neville up! Congratz!
