Michael B. Jordan Returning To Small Screen To Star In New NBC Medical Drama "County"

After co-starring in 2 big screen movies RED TAILS and CHRONICLE this year already, Michael B. Jordan is returning to the small screen to star opposite Jason Ritter in a pilot episode for a new NBC drama called COUNTY.

The project will center on the employess and patients of an underfunded LA County Hospital.

Was is it with this love for medical dramas on television? Wasn’t it just yesterday that another medical drama was announced for another network?

Michael B. Jordan will play “Travis,” a new intern at County Hospital who takes care of his junkie sister’s daughter.

He’s staying busy.

he should look into doing independent films, there's nothing wrong with that.

Such a cutey and a great actor! Can't wait to see him more and hopefully he'll get some stellar roles on TV!

LOL!!! I'm sorry but his character description is hilarious. As someone below partially touched on they need to focus on better premises/scripts if they want these shows to last. Not just rehash the same shows and put practically the same people in them. Off The Map, and that other show Rachelle Leferve (sp?) was in.

On another note it is good that MBJ is staying busy. I love him so I'll be watching regardless but the same people with show after show failing to make it is past tired.

Good for him, but the pilot sucks. Totally cardboard cutout & the Pound Puppies version of GREY'S ANATOMY.

He "was" on NBC's Parenthood but his character exited the show a few months back (although there is talk he may return). Regardless I find it amusing that a up and coming young actor that has gotten showered with praise for his acting skills ends up getting "stuck" with a TV gig. Hard to imagine that happening to him if he was white. If white he would likely be too busy to do TV because he would be choosing amongst countless movie offers. The exec of Friday Night Lights and Parenthood, both of which Jordan had a role, said months back that he didn't feel good about Jordan's return to TV in the near future because the guy's movie career was blowing up. I called bs on that because at the time the only feature film Jordan had recently filmed was "Chronicle" ("Red Tails" was filmed years before) and there weren't any other offers on the horizon that I was aware of. I guess I was right about that because here Jordan is returning for ANOTHER TV show. Of course perhaps he simply prefers television and therefore spurned good opportunities to be in film. But how many of us would believe that? Truth is there are barely any substantial roles for a black actor of his age in Hollywood films. So guys like him and John Boyega (amongst others) have to settle for television shows.

Returns? He is on NBC's Parenthood.
