Women In Film, Los Angeles, adds 11 new members to its Board of Directors. Orly Adelson, Adriana Alberghetti, Stephanie Allain, Darla K. Anderson, Holly Bario, Janet Daily, Sue Naegle, Keri Putnam, Michelle Raimo Kouyate, Nell Scovell and Winnie Wong join the non-profit, led by its returning second term president, producer Cathy Schulman (“Crash”). The group is “an enormously impressive group of the best and brightest people in Hollywood devoted to making positive change for both men and women working in the media business,” says Schulman. “These industry experts will be invaluable in guiding WIF’s continuing commitment to next generation thinking, strategic career support, enabling artistic expression and being an important voice in the ongoing dialectic about equal opportunity in film and television.”

As President of dick clark productions (dcp), Emmy® Award-nominated executive producer Orly Adelson oversees all aspects of the company’s development, production, distribution and network relationships on behalf of dcp’s titles, which include: The American Music Awards, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, The Golden Globes, The Academy of Country Music Awards and the hit television series So You Think You Can Dance. Adelson is committed to taking the iconic global brand and implementing new strategies to leverage and expand the company’s entertainment offerings in both traditional and new mediums. Adelson joined dcp from her own company, Orly Adelson Productions, in the spring of 2008 and is recognized as one of the most prominent and distinguished women in entertainment.
Adriana Alberghetti is an agent at WME in the Motion Picture Literary department. Veteran film producer and newly-appointed Director of the Los Angeles Film Festival Stephanie Allain is known for championing projects and talent that break the mold. After a decade as a studio executive at Columbia Pictures where she launched the careers of John Singleton and Robert Rodriguez, she served as President of Jim Henson Pictures before starting her own production company in 2004. Since then she has produced several films including Black Snake Moan and Hustle & Flow, both written and directed by Craig Brewer, Sanaa Hamri’s Something New and the upcoming Lionsgate release, We The Peeples, written and directed by Tina Chism. Allain has taught at USC and UCLA, is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Producer’s Guild of America and served on the Film Independent Board of Directors since 2007.
Darla K. Anderson
Darla K. Anderson joined Pixar Animation Studios in 1993 and has since produced the beloved and award-winning films Toy Story 3, Cars, Monsters, Inc. and A Bug’s Life. Most recently, Anderson earned the award for Producer of the Year in Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures from the Producers Guild of America for her work on the box office hit and Oscar®-winning film, Toy Story 3, an award she was also honored with for Cars. Her work on Toy Story 3 was also recognized with a Best Picture nomination from both the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Producers Guild of America. Before assuming her feature film production duties at Pixar, Anderson was the executive producer of the studio’s commercial group. In 2008, Anderson was elected to the Producers Council Board of the Producers Guild of America. She is the first animation producer to be elected.
Holly Bario is Co-President of Production at DreamWorks Studios where she oversees the company’s slate of films. She joined the company in 2008 as an Executive Vice President of Production, a role she previously held at Universal Pictures. She had been at the studio for over a decade as a production executive at Universal Pictures rising through the ranks as Director of Development, Vice President and Senior Vice President of Production. While at Universal, Bario was responsible for shepherding some of their most successful comedies, including Bruce Almighty, Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, 40 Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Mamma Mia! She also oversaw both the first and second installments of the hit action series The Fast and the Furious.
Janet Daily has been a marketing and publicity professional for over 20 years leading campaigns for OWN, Warner Bros. Studios, NBC/Universal Television, CBS Entertainment and more. She is currently the publicist for the new daytime talk show, The Jeff Probst Show. As a publicity consultant for OWN, she worked on the network launch as well as programs including Season 25: Oprah Behind The Scenes, Oprah Presents: Master Class and Becoming Chaz. At Warner Bros. Studios, Daily oversaw international publicity for series including The Mentalist, The Big Bang Theory and Chuck. She was the unit publicist for Everybody Loves Raymond and Desperate Housewives. She managed Emmy campaigns for NBC/Universal Television series and pilots. Daily has received multiple nominations for the prestigious Maxwell Weinberg Showmanship Award from the Publicists Guild.
Sue Naegle was named president, HBO Entertainment, for Home Box Office, in April 2008. In this position, she is responsible for overseeing all original series programming and specials for the network. Before joining HBO, Naegle was a partner and co-head of the television department at United Talent Agency. She became the youngest agent ever to make partner (at age 29), and in this role co-ran the television department and managed the training program. Naegle represented and developed close relationships with many notable writers and producers and also oversaw the packaging of many successful television series such as HBO’s Six Feet Under and True Blood. At HBO, Naegle has overseen the development and production of such hit series as Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones, and the upcoming Girls, Veep, and Newsroom. Naegle’s philanthropic endeavors include working with Girls, Inc., The Alliance for Children’s Rights, Operation Smile, the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute, and The Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases.
Keri Putnam is the executive director of the nonprofit Sundance Institute whose mission is to discover and develop independent artists and introduce audiences to their new work. The Institute supports artists in feature film, documentary film, theatre and film music through its labs and workshops, direct granting and ongoing mentorship in the U.S. and around the world. The Institute also presents the annual Sundance Film Festival to provide a global platform for artists to share their stories. Since joining the Sundance Institute in 2010, after serving as President of Production for Miramax Films, Putnam has advanced the Institute’s international work, expanded its involvement in arts advocacy, and launched new programs to connect artists to audiences. At the recent 2012 Sundance Film Festival, Women In Film and the Sundance Institute announced a collaboration to support career longevity for independent female filmmakers working in both narrative and documentary feature film.
Michelle Raimo Kouyate
Michelle Raimo Kouyate is President of Production for Sony Pictures Animation and is responsible for overseeing the development and production of all films on the slate. Under Raimo Kouyate, the animation studio recently began production on Hotel Transylvania with Adam Sandler voicing the lead role of Dracula and Genndy Tartakovsky directing. She is also guiding the development of The Familiars, with executive producers Sam Raimi & Josh Donen, and director Doug Sweetland, the Academy Award®-nominated director of the 2008 Pixar short Presto, Popeye with executive producer Avi Arad, and the sequels to The Smurfs and Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. Raimo Kouyate joined Sony Pictures Animation in December 2010 from Dreamworks Animation where she had spent the previous three years serving as executive producer for the animated feature film, Puss In Boots, the Oscar-nominated spin-off of the Shrek franchise.
After a successful career in journalism, Nell Scovell tried her hand at television writing at the suggestion of a Vanity Fair editor. Today, she is the only person who has written for late night variety (Late Night With David Letterman), animation (The Simpsons), sitcom (Newhart, Coach, Murphy Brown), drama (Monk, N.C.I.S., Warehouse 13) and long-form. She created and executive produced the ABC hit series, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, which ran for seven seasons and is now in syndication. She created the web series, Hidden Celebrity Webcam. Her long-form work includes co-writing Disney’s Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves, and writing and directing two movies for cable television. Scovell is a member of the Writers Guild of America West, the Directors Guild of America and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Wong has been an entertainment insurance broker for the past 22 years and has represented a number of prestigious accounts such as MGM Studios, Universal Studios, and countless television, commercial and documentary production companies.
