First Look At Freema Agyeman In Action On Set Of The CW Pilot "The Carrie Diaries"

S&A first told you earlier this month that Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who, Law & Order:UK) had signed on to star in the CW’s Sex and The City prequel, The Carrie Diaries.  Now we have our first on-set looks at Agyeman in action.

In case you have forgotten, The Carrie Diaries is based on Candace Bushnell’s novel, and chronicles Carrie Bradshaw’s coming of age in the 1980s when she asks her first questions about love, sex, friendship and family while exploring the worlds of high school and Manhattan.  Agyeman will play the role of Larissa, Carrie’s mentor, a hip, cutting-edge editor/party girl who works at Interview magazine.

Yeah this looks so 80's NYC. Carrie's hair needs to have a lot more hairspray in it and Larissa needs to have on some gold chunk earrings, lol. This looks more like Wiliamsburg, Brooklyn, 2012 trying to imitate what they think was 80's New York.

Carrie had a smart, sophisticated black mentor? I guess that explains why Carrie had so many female friends who were women of color in her life.

Nice to Freema in something Stateside, but I agree with Cherish why won't they let SATC die?! Unfortunately, unless the pilot is horrible (even by CW standards) they will likely pick this up because they have a number of holes in the schedule with One Tree Hill, Ringer, and Hart of Dixie all probably going by the wayside.

I loved Sex and the City, but I wish they would let this series go. God, how much can they milk it? Besides, Carrie moved to NYC after college in her twenties, what's with this high school crap?

Anyway, glad to see they added some diversity the cast. Looks like Freema will be a good fit.
