International Trailer for Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus'; 'Project Prometheus' Site Launches (Video)

The international version of Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus” (stateside June 8) reveals more about the film’s story than the US version (both are below). “Prometheus” takes “Alien” DNA and mixes in some of the hottest contemporary movie stars – Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba et al.  Fans can now build their excitement and anticipation with this new Project Prometheus site (which requires this password: tell abu shahrain; thanks HeyUGuys!), the Weyland Industries site (including a TED Talk by Guy Pearce) and the official Movie site; here is what appears to be the official Facebook page which has the following synopsis:

Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

If you were Alive to see the first "Alien" or "Blade Runner" then this is a moment we have been waiting for thank you the film gods have spoken…

I still have no idea what the film's about, other than that a bunch of ham actors go to another planet and find something scary. Ummm…hasn't this been done a million times already? And what's with all those quick fade-in and fade-out shots that afflict every trailer now? I can't SEE anything clearly enough to determine whether I want to see the movie or not.
