Well, even though it won't hit theaters stateside until the fall, "The Cold Light Of Day" actually rolls into theaters in the U.K. next weekend, and as such, a bunch of new stuff has hit the web to get the word out across the pond.
Starring Bruce Willis, Henry Cavill and Sigourney Weaver, the latest effort from "JCVD" director Mabrouk El Mechri follows a young American (Cavill) whose family is kidnapped on vacation in Spain. He’s got hours to find them, and unravels a government conspiracy in the process and also learns his Dad (Willis), actually works for the CIA. Together they've gotta square off against the villain, played by Weaver. Three clips have landed and they're unfortunately fairly flat. A scene with Willis fighting two cops is fairly sloppy and not helped by being set in a dark forest and poorly cut together. Meanwhile, Cavill's scenes with Verónica Echegui — a woman who seemingly gets mixed up in his business — have a tired back-and-forth between the two that isn't particularly fresh.
