Exclusive: Greta Gerwig Isn't Ready To Be Single In Clip From 'Lola Versus'

Getting back out there at the end of a relationship is no easy feat, but what do you do when the breakup comes just as you’re about to get married? That question is at the heart of this summer’s romantic comedy “Lola Versus” starring Greta Gerwig.

Directed by Daryl Wein (“Breaking Upwards“), the story follows Lola (Gerwig) who gets dumped by her fiancé (Joel Kinnaman) mere weeks before their wedding. With the help of her close friends, Lola embarks on a series of unexpected encounters in an attempt to find her place in the world as a single woman approaching 30. In the scene in the exclusive clip below, we see Lola fresh off the dissolution of her relationship, being advised by her best friend Alice (Zoe Lister-Jones, who also co-wrote the film with Wein) about what to do next. It’s a warm, funny scene that’s a nice tease for what audiences can expect from the film.

“Lola Versus” will open on June 8th, but will first make its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on Tuesday, April 24th at 6:00 PM at the BMCC Tribeca PAC. The cast & filmmakers will be in attendance.

Here I go sounding like a major sourpuss but…nothing on Whitney is funny.
Want to see a good movie about a single woman that has no connection to Sex and the City? Bridget Jones Diary.

I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THIS MOVIE! Finally a movie I can relate to as a single woman that is NOT Sex and the City. This looks fresh, funny, raw and entertaining as hell. I LOVED Breaking Upwards and I know this is going to be another genuine, heartfelt comedy from Wein and Lister-Jones (btw, she is so funny on Whitney. When is this bitch gonna be a star already??!)

This looks like it's going to be really honest and funny. Gerwig is an interesting and unconventional female lead, and Zoe Lister-Jones is always hilarious and amazing. See her in Breaking Upwards if you haven't already. Can't wait to see this whole film.

This looks so cliched and dull to me. Just bein' honest.
