Focus World and Tugg Catch an 'Extraterrestrial'

Focus World, Focus Features’ alternative distribution label, has acquired the science fiction comedy “Extraterrestrial,” directed by Academy Award-nominee Nacho Vigalondo, in partnership with Tugg, the platform that lets people choose which films play at their local theaters.

The film will hit VOD and open in select theaters on June 15. Audiences nationwide can vote to have the film play in their city by using the Tugg platform. To request a screening through Tugg, go HERE.

In his review out of Fantastic Fest, Eric Kohn wrote, “‘Timecrimes,’ the feature-length debut of Spanish director Nacho Vigalondo, was a loopy shot of comic suspense about inadvertent time travel. Four years later, his sophomore effort appears to have less daring aims. But the superficial exterior of ‘Extraterrestrial,’ about four acquaintances holed up in their apartment building when a UFO randomly takes over the sky, hides a much smarter parable about human behavior.”
