HBO is giving everyone access to two new original comedies: Lena Dunham’s “Girls” and “Veep,” starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The day after both pilots premiere on HBO, audiences can stream the shows on HBO.com, YouTube, DailyMotion, and TV.com. The “Veep” pilot will also be available free of charge on iTunes.
Created by and starring Lena Dunham (“Tiny Furniture”), “Girls” documents the blunt humor, intimate humiliations, rare triumphs, and comic tragedies in the lives of four 20-something women living in New York City. “Girls” premieres on Sunday, April 15 at 10:30 PM.
Brit Armando Iannucci (“In the Loop”) is the creator of satirical political sitcom “Veep,” the story of Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) who becomes vice president only to find that it wasn’t quite the job she expected. The cast includes Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Matt Walsh, Reid Scott, Timothy C. Simons and Sufe Bradshaw. “Veep” premieres Sunday, April 22 at 10 PM.
