About the Production:
"Adapted from a short story of the name (with the author's blessing), "What You Left in the Ditch" is a unique and compelling story about the aftermath of battle from the point of view of a soldier's wife. Told in very visual terms, the film aims to express Mary's complicated journey in search of lips.
"This film is the director's letter to both his late grandfather, a soldier in the Korean War, and to his grandmother, one of the many wives of American soldiers.
"Additionally, 'What You Left in the Ditch' was selected into Panavision's New Filmmaker Program." – Savannah Winchester
