"Shankman's" - A Dark Comedy About Gentrification And Cannibalism (Fundraising)

The projects Kickstarter page says that the filmmakers (Patrick Coker, Michael Paul and Adam Wiesen, graduate candidates at Long Island University’s Media Arts program, who work collectively as TryBoro Productionswere "inspired by the rapid gentrification of working class neighborhoods throughout their native New York CIty."

With all that in mind, watch their pitch in the video clip below, and if you like what they're selling, clikc in the Kickstarter widget at the bottom of this post to make your contribution.

Thus far, they've raised just over $12,000 of their $40,000 goal, with 19 days left in the campaign.

Hmm…The situation sounds like a win-win for the four characters; might be even more interesting if at least one of them was from the neighborhood they were destroying/gentrifying. More conflict. Wonder if they'll be killing people of a certain ethnicity, or just of a certain class. Hope they succeed with the fundraising.
