Miracle at St. Anna is missing, think there was a dolly/tracking shot. She's Gotta Have It had one or a make shift version of one. There was one in Do The Right Thing. Other than that they may have them all.

For all the credit…spike need to pay proper.. to art house giant: ANDREI TARKOVSKI…c`est finus.

WAKE UUUUUUP! There are many missing from this montage. One that many will immediately remember is the last scene from School Daze. It's a short take (maybe 3 seconds), but it's in the scene in which Lawrence Fishburne says WAAAKE UUUUUP!!!! Spike is my all time favorite filmmaker. He's noted for many things, which of course, includes his dolly shots, but for me, it goes much deeper. Have you ever paid attention to his dance scenes… great choreography… excellent music choices. How about his unsurpassed, yet subtle messages of black unity, black pride and black beauty? His use of several cameras in one shot, in smooth transitions, is a stroke of genius rarely seen in today's black films. Have you ever sat down and really… really paid attention to his sound scores, and how they drove the scenes without interfering with them? They were THERE to take you THERE. Music speaks where words fail and Spike knew that. And who can direct black actors better than Spike? Take a look at any of his films and notice the timing and professionalism in everyone shot (with a few exceptions). That reminds me, did he bring the A-Team or what? Denzel was there and so was Ossie Davis, Samuel Jackson, Old school Joe "to kill a mockingbird" Seneca, Lawrence Fishbourne, Wesley Snipes, Jasmin Guy, Theresa Randle, Isaiah Washington, Giancarlo Esposito, Roger Guenveur Smith, Dick Anthony Williams, Tisha Campbell, Derek Luke, Charles S. Dutton, Andre Braugher, Michael Ealy, Theresa Randle,Kasi Lemmons, Hill Harper, Harry Lennix, Bernie Mac , Wendell Pierce, Kerry Washington and the list goes on and on. So yeah, this montage is not complete (but it's good), and boy has Spike left me with wonderful memories. He IS the greatest of them all.

Nice. All there for me. Copyright Spike Lee

Spike is the reason why so many of us want to make films. this was awesome.
Love that there is a Black Filmmaker of the canon who has a particular style
or 'thing'

The time I appreciated Spike's dolly shot most was in Malcolm X.
Then, it really drove home the tone and weight of X's loooong final walk to his death.

Enjoyed it. Will watch over and over.

Well done. Had to share this on FB.
