Watch: Full Trailer For Oliver Stone's 'Savages' Arrives Starring Aaron Johnson, Taylor Kitsch, Blake Lively & More

Look out, Spider-Man, because Oliver Stone is on your tail with one helluva cast. Opening just a few days after the webbed one goes 3D, “Savages” is hoping to cater to adults looking for a break from spidey slinging and this first full trailer certainly promises quite the diversion.

Based on the book by Don Winslow, the concept is quite simple: a girl who hangs with two beach bum drug dealers is kidnapped and held for ransom after they refuse to give up turf to a Mexican cartel. And of course, all hell breaks loose. The cast here is outstanding with Aaron Johnson (those dreads!) and Taylor Kitsch leading the pack with Blake Lively (who hints she may not live to the end of the movie) as the girl, Uma Thurman as her mother, Salma Hayek as the leader of the cartel, Benicio Del Toro as her main enforcer, John Travolta as a burnt-out DEA agent, Demián Bichir as a double-crossing attorney who represents Hayek’s cartel, Joel David Moore as a computer nerd, Mia Maestro as Del Toro’s soccer Mom wife and Emile Hirsch in a still secret role.

“Savages” opens on July 6th, watch below. [MTV]

Battleship will save Taylor Kitsch from becoming the new Colin Farrell, but this is going to bomb.

Have to say Blake Lively is dryly boring, it makes the duo characters' taste in this film is doubtful, and kinda wasted the ensemble cast full of talents not mention the adorable Aaron Johnson.

I'm in for Aaron Johnson alone. Whew both leads are sexy! This actually looks really good!

I really like how this looks. I remember thinking when I was reading the novel that if Stone went ponderous with the direction, as is his occasional wont, it wouldn't work at all, but the tone looks just right. I'm kind of intrigued by Bichir's character, as he's only in the novel for a single scene, but if they cast him, he must have something more significant to do in the film version. I'm a huge Winslow fan, so I really hope this does well enough to get more of his stuff adapted.

I'm liking the reasons this is rated R. "Strong brutal and grisly violence, some graphic sexuality, nudity, drug use and language throughout" Now that's what I'm talking about!

This is an Oliver Stone flick? Nice! I'll watch that! Now when I say "this is an Oliver Stone flick", it's not because it didn't read the beginning of this post…it's more like the feeling you get when you see someone step out of their comfort zone….it gave me the same feeling I got when I watched the Hanna trailer for the first time and knowing that it came from the same guy who made "Atonement"… get me?

Oogle monster

I really like the soundtrack (?) and the boys all look to be bringing their A-game. What's with the Katy Perry wig though, Salma?!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The girl with the mumbles is going to narrate this film???!!!! I was looking forward to this movie- and I still am- but now I'm a little bummed. Is O the narrator in the book?

where else can i watch this trailer? cant watch it because 'it's not in my region'…..

tyrannosaurus max

Jacques DeMolay

Wow, I'm impressed. This looks like a pretty entertaining flick, not TOO serious, but just serious ENOUGH. A tense little action thriller. Here's hoping it lives up to what the trailer implies.

Finally a fun looking movie not full of crap CGI or superheros. Can't wait.

God, I hate Blake Lively's voiceover. That's an oxymoron of a last name if I ever heard one

God, I hate Oliver Stone.
