Malaysian International Film Festival Launches with Hong Kong's Lorna Tee and New York Critic Dennis Lim At Helm

A new film festival is launching in Asia, reports Screen. Malaysia National Film Development Corp (FINAS) is launching a film festival and market which will be held in Kuala Lumpur in November.

Congrats to the two Malaysians at the helm: Lorna Tee, a Hong Kong producer is the new director, and New York film critic Dennis Lim is the artistic director. He contributes frequently to the New York Times and L.A. Times, teaches at NYU, and served his term on the rotating selection committee of the New York Film Festival, replaced this year by Amy Taubin.
