As students head into summer and free of worrying about homework, teachers, tests and whatever else is on their mind, next fall, a whole new batch of kids will be entering high school for the first time. It can be a terrifying, alienating experience, making the already rough years of adolescence even more difficult, but at least at the cinema, there will be a movie that understands exactly what they’re going through.
Following the trailer which premiered on the weekend during the MTV Movie Awards, four new images have arrived for “The Perks Of Being A Wallflower” showing off the leading cast of Emma Watson, Logan Lerman and “We Need To Talk About Kevin” star Ezra Miller. Based the book by Stephen Chbosky (who is also making his directorial debut), the film follows the titular wallflower Charlie (Lerman), who forms a deep friendship with Sam (Watson) and Patrick (Miller) to helps him break out of his shell and experience the high school life he thought was beyond his reach.
So far, the pic looks very promising and we’ll see how it all turns out when it opens on September 14th.
