Details On Pete Chatmon's Next Feature Project - A Heist Film Titled '$Free.99' + Poster

Writer/director Pete Chatmon (Premium with Dorian Missick and Zoe Saldana was his feature film debut) will soon embark on his next feature project – a Tribeca All Access Creative Promise Awards script titled $Free.99, which he co-wrote with Candice Sanchez McFarlane.

The official synopsis for the film reads:

A small town is threatened with national news coverage when Liberty Bank & Trust is besieged by an unorthodox criminal mastermind. Without giving anything at all away, I can tell you that it’s a complete depature for Chatmon, compared to his first film; obviously different genres, but much more than that in terms of mood, setting, message, and style. We’ll certainly be watching as it progresses, and filling you folks in with any vital pieces of info revealed along the way.

A promo poster for the film has been released (it’s embedded in full below), which was created via a call for poster challenge that the folks behind the project put out. They receives lots of responses from designers, and the one you see below is the poster that won the competition. It’s designed by Giga Shane and his Boat Safety Films shingle.

Pete says that the winning poster gives you a feel for the “mood and context for the film.”
