Kristen Stewart Is Forbes' Highest Earning Actress in Hollywood; Plus Diaz, Bullock, Jolie, Theron, Parker, Streep, Wiig & Aniston

Thanks to “Twilight” and “Snow White and the Huntsman,” Kristen Stewart tops Forbes’ list of Hollywood’s highest earning actresses. While the former’s final installment is coming this November, the latter’s sequel is already in development despite its poor reviews and the critical censenus over Stewart’s miscasting. She’s also the youngest on the list by sixteen years. The two very commercial films earned Stewart $34.5 million between May 2011 and May 2012.

Next on the list is Cameron Diaz with “Bad Teacher” and “What To Expect When You’re Expecting” ($34 million). Residuals and endorsements count: In third, Sandra Bullock is still raking it in from “The Blind Side” (in addition to her “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” and “Gravity” paychecks) with $25 million. Angelina Jolie, who was busy with her low-earning directorial debut “In The Land of Blood and Honey,” takes fourth thanks mostly to residuals, endorsements (Louis Vuitton) and media omnipresence (she appeared on 78 magazine covers in the year) ($20 million). The rest of the list includes Charlize Theron ($18 million), who made a career comeback with “Young Adult,” “Snow White and the Huntsman” and “Prometheus”; Sarah Jessica Parker ($15 million); Meryl Streep ($12 million); Kristen Wiig ($12 million) and Jennifer Aniston ($11 million).

Check out Forbes’ video below detailing the top five’s earnings. It’s nice to see both hard-working and hilarious Wiig and the woman considered by many to be the greatest actress of all time, Streep, in the top ten. Stewart may be on top, but this isn’t exactly an Oscar race. [Forbes]

The reviews of the movie can be mixed: Metacritic 57%, Tomatoes 47% rotten (although these numbers do seem rather sad) but if those reviewers generally agree that Stewart is miscast in this movie then that is a consensus. Go read.

Sophia Savage is a failed wannabe actress who writes for indiewire. Her disparaging comments about Kristen Stewart in this piece mirror Anne Thompson's recent Snow White and the Huntsman review. Nuff said.

Good for Kristen Stewart. AT only 22 it is quite a marvellous achievement. She is now going to be the lead actress in 2 franchises and work on smaller indies in the interim. I guess that is too boring and positive to write about though, Savage has to resort to transferring her own biased feelings onto the story. Kristen made a brilliant Snow White and there was no 'consensus'. End of!

Nasty slant to this piece. The internet really has unleashed the armchair sniper and worse.

Poor reviews? No. Found the time to read Roger Ebert please . maybe the reviews were mixed ,you know, so many little blogger pretend to be journalist and film critic .
For the record Dino De Laurentis about Meryl Streep had said "Too ugly for King Kong" .
Can You See It? People and Hollywood is full of prejudice against unconventional women .
Stewart is one of them,Streep was one of them.

Kristen Stewart should only play roles that require absolutely nothing. Like a tree or a rock in the background.

Sophia Savage, the sniping is repetitive and, frankly, unprofessional. There was no critical consensus. The reviews were mixed. If reviews are mixed, then that means there is no consensus.
