Dish recently dropped AMC, and the cable network wants satellite subscribers to know what they're missing: On July 15, the highly anticipated "Breaking Bad" 5th season premiere will stream for Dish customers on AMC's website.
Starting at 3pm on Friday, July 13, Dish subscribers can register for access to stream episode 5.1 of Vince Gilligan's meth crime drama for free.
“Every cable, phone and satellite company other than DISH carries AMC and its popular programming, including 'Breaking Bad,' 'The Walking Dead,' and 'Mad Men,' in their basic package. AMC wants its loyal DISH viewers to experience the excitement of the 'Breaking Bad' premiere at the same time as their friends and neighbors, and we want to give DISH customers an extra week to switch providers so they can enjoy the rest of the season.”
The network was dropped by Dish upon its contract expiration on July 1 because it was charging exorbitant fees not in line with the critically acclaimed but low-rated channel. Dish is the second largest satellite TV provider after DirectTV.
