“The Gossip Queen”
Tweet Sized Logline:
A dark musical set at prom. Olivia, the class gossip, comes across a juicy story that could ruin her best friend’s life.
The Elevator Pitch:
The Gossip Queen, a musical drama, tells the story of Olivia. Everyone knows her as the biggest gossip in school. The second she arrives at prom, she is approached by students wanting to know more about a rumor involving a girl named Laura. Olivia obliges, but the rumor quickly makes it way back to Laura, who promptly vows revenge.
Maggie, Olivia’s best friend, warns her that maybe she should try to be more discreet. When Olivia leaves the dance for a moment, she sees Maggie’s boyfriend in the throes of cheating. For the first time, she faces a moral dilemma.

About the Production:
The Gossip Queen is a project very near and dear to my heart. Not only is it a musical, a genre that I will always love and be passionate about, but it also deals with subject matter that is deeply personal. I’m known as a loudmouth, an incorrigible gossip, but I’ve still managed to keep my friends despite the derision I occasionally face. But what if things hadn’t turned out well for me? And more importantly, what made me become a Gossip Queen in the first place? These are only some of the questions I am trying to answer.
