Boris Kodjoe To Play Detective w/ Unorthodox Approach In Lifetime Original Movie 'Killer Among Us'

Boris Kodjoe joins Tom Cavanagh (Scrubs, Ed) and Tess Atkins to star in the Lifetime Original Movie Killer Among Us, (no connection to the 1990 TV movie starring Jasmine Guy and Anna Maria Horsford), which will make its world premiere on Saturday, September 8, 2012, at 8PM ET/PT

Inspired by a true story, the film follows Nick Carleton (Tom Cavanagh), a widowed father of three who is coping with the loss of his beloved wife, while minding his teenage daughter Alex (Tess Atkins), as she bravely tries to uncover the truth behind her mother’s shocking and mysterious murder

With no leads and the case growing cold, the police have no choice but to close their investigation. Not ready to give up, police detective Joseph Moran (Boris Kodjoe) takes an unorthodox approach to try to find the killer by enlisting Alex’s assistance, which may put her in harm’s way, unearthing something more shocking than anything they could have ever imagined.

Killer Among Us was written by Katherine Fugate, directed by Bradley Walsh and produced by Front Street Pictures/Ordinary Road Productions.

Executive producers include Harvey Kahn, Jack Grossbart, Linda Kent and Fugate.

No trailer yet; the above photo is of the cast on set.

Another opp to see Boris…thank you Lifetime

Boris cannot act for toffee. He keeps getting those roles because he is biracial. He always looks like he is being fed his lines thru an ear plug.

Critical Acclaim

No critical here. Just acclaim. Stay working. THAT IS ALL. I'm not mad at the man doing his thing wherever that may be. I will say tho that I don't know why he's not in these little black studio romantic comedies like Jumping the Broom, Think Like A Man. He must not want to do them cause I can't believe he's not being asked to be in them.

Miles Ellison

A K-Mart Luther. Yay.

Has it come to this?

Sounds like some sort of bootlegged, American version of 'Luther'. But I might still watch.
