Michael Ealy’s Christian-Themed Drama ‘Unconditional’ Gets Trailer, Poster (In Theaters Sept)

Michael Ealy's Christian-Themed Drama 'Unconditional' Gets Trailer, Poster (In Theaters Sept)

Written and directed by Brent McCorkie, and produced by Jason Atkins and J. Wesley Leggthe film is said to be based on the true events surrounding the character Michael Ealy plays, named Joe Bradford.

Unconditional's synopsis reads as follows:

Samantha Crawford's life is a storybook life: she’s happily married, she lives on a ranch where she keeps her beloved horse, and the stories she’s told and illustrated since childhood have become published books. When her husband Billy is killed in a senseless act of violence, Sam loses her faith and her will to live. But a death-defying encounter with two children leads to a reunion with Joe, her oldest friend. As Sam watches her friend Joe care for and love the kids in his under-resourced neighborhood, she begins to realize that no matter life’s circumstances, the love of God is always reaching out to us.

The real-life Joe Bradford serves seven at-risk communities in Nashville, TN through his Elijah's Heart ministry.

"My dream is that Unconditional inspires cities to unite in love to rescue one of our most precious commodities: thousands of at-risk and fatherless children torn by poverty and oppression," Bradford said in a press release.

Harbinger Media Partners will release the drama in a limited theatrical release on September 21.

Audiences are encouraged to sign up to become partners with the film and its message at unconditionalthemovie.com/act.

An official poster and trailer surfaced earlier today, and both are embedded below (trailer first):

Hmm…I'm actually interested in seeing this. 1) Because of Michael Ealy, 2) Joe Bradford's story sounds interesting…and 3) Michael Ealy. Something I noticed: The woman dancing with Ealy's character and standing by his bedside looks like Michele Obama. I wonder if that was their intention with the casting.

Nothing says "pass" like the description "Christian-themed drama." Well, maybe "Tyler Perry comedy" comes first. but not by much. And I'm Christian btw. Also regarding the discussion below "Common Law" is bad IMO. The concept could work better as a movie than a show.

Don't watch Common Law, TBP? You're totally missing out! LOL It's a really fun/funny show, I think. And Michael is an absolute delight…he has very good comedic timing and is great with the occasional dramatic/intense moments as well. the man definitely has real leading man/star potential.

Michael Ealy deserves more roles. He should be a big star. Does anyone know how he did on Common Law?
