TIFF FIRST LOOK: Ruba Nadda's Thriller 'Inescapable,' Starring Siddig, Tomei & Jackson (Video Clip)

Check out our first look at Syrian writer-director Ruba Nadda's Toronto-bound "Inescapable," starring Alexander Siddig ("Syriana," "Kingdom of Heaven"), Marisa Tomei ("The Wrestler," "Ides of March") and Joshua Jackson ("The Skulls," "Apt Pupil"). Siddig also starred in Nadda's Toronto-premiering 2009 romance, "Cairo Time," with Patricia Clarkson. The film scored high with critics, thanks mostly to its delicate direction and captivating leading lady. "Inescapable" forces Siddig's character to return to Damascus when his daughter goes missing in the city, three decades after he left it behind. Our exclusive clip and the trailer are below:

I must say, I found "Cairo Time" poorly directed and extremely banal. Let's hope this is better.
