Watch: Everything Is The Same In First Clip From Harmony Korine's 'Spring Breakers'

James Franco in dreadlocks! Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine all sweaty and half dressed! A Florida-set crime romp! Given all the ingredients for it to be potentially batshit crazy, the first clip to make its way online from Harmony Korine‘s “Spring Breakers” is relatively normal.

As you know, the story follows four college-aged girls who decide to rob a fast food restaurant in order to pay for the annual getaway, and get thrown in the slammer. A rapping drug and arms dealer bails out the girls, and coaxes them to kill his nemesis Arch. But this first glimpse of the movie doesn’t contain any of those elements, and instead finds one of the girls doing the usual teenage musing on how everything is the same and nothing changes. Typical teenage angst it seems. Has Korine gone all mainstream on us?

Nah, we don’t think so. We have faith Korine has something distinctly his own waiting up his sleeve for us. We’ll find out soon enough when “Spring Breakers” is unveiled in Venice, and keep an eye out, Toronto, because it will be headed your way next. Watch below. [via ONTD]

This is why this movie is gonna be da bomb because it features the lovely Selena Gomez and James Franco I personally can't wait to see this film!! And James in dread locks now that my friends is gonna be real interesting!!

This movie is going to be awesome. I just can't wait. The clip should have been slightly longer to get a better feel but it still works. Nothing wrong with the dialogue, basically Selena Gomez sounds depressed and in need of a Spring Break whilst she talks to the others.

I wanted to see James Franco.

Selena Gomez fans are going to hate this movie. Love it.

Sorry but the dialogue made me laugh especially that observant tidbit about the grass being brown and not green So deep!
