Artwork & Extras Confirmed For North American Blu-ray Release Of 'Prometheus,' Will Come In 2 Different Editions

Whether you loved the film, hated it or found yourself somewhere in the middle, there’s no doubt that people are still talking about Ridley Scott‘s return to sci-fi with “Prometheus.” And even months before the home video release, fans were digging for info on what deleted scenes would be included, and over  the past few weeks, deleted scenes, viral clips and concept work have all found their way online. Well, 20th Century Fox has finally unveiled the final artwork and details for the North American Blu-ray release — or rather, releases — for the film.

“Prometheus” will essentially come in two flavors: a 4-disc set that will feature the theatrical cut of the movie, the 3D theatrical cut of the movie, a digital copy and a plethora of extras. But for those of you who don’t need 3D glasses in your living room, a 2-disc set will be available as well, with the theatrical cut and digital copy but only a select portion of the extras. If you want the pre-vis, screen tests, making-of stuff and more, you’ll need to spring for that 4-disc version.

Anyway, check out all the details and full covers below. “Prometheus” docks on October 9th on home video.

CINEMATICESP is totally right. Calling it a theatrical cut is nonsensical. But not just that, Scott clearly said there would be an extended cut on the DVD. This is darn fishy. Perhaps they pulled the extended cut at the last moment so that they can release it further down the line.

I find this whole thing a bit disrespectful to the fans who are looking forward to own the blu-ray. I am sure there are people who can't stand 3D, and in order to watch the making of the film, one must invest in the 3D version. It is absolutely pathetic.

I don't get it, why bother calling it a "Theatrical Cut" if they're not including any other Director's Cut or anything?
