Sony Pictures Animation's upcoming 3-D animated comedy, "Hotel Transylvania," aims to make the vampire world charming. Adam Sandler voices Dracula, the father of a young teenage vampire, Selena Gomez. Dracula is the proprietor of the Hotel Translyvania, a swanky "five-stake" resort getaway for all manner of spooky monsters. At the outset of the movie, the Count wants to throw a party for his daughter's 118th birthday, but goes into hyper-protective mode when a ordinary traveler (Andy Samberg) falls for his supernatural daughter.
The clip shows an endearingly gothic twist on the prototypical conversation between a teenager and her slightly overbearing father, ending with him agreeing: "You're old enough to drive a hearse now, you're old enough to make your own choices." Directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, the creator of "Dexter's Laboratory," the film took nearly ten years to make and will fittingly honor Sony Pictures Animation's tenth anniversary. "Hotel Transylvania" features also features characters voiced by Kevin James, Fran Drescher, Cee Lo Green, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon and David Spade. Sony premieres the movie September 8 at the Toronto International Film Festival and will release the film in theaters September 28.
