International African Style & Culture Magazine, Arise, Profiles Shadow & Act In Latest Issue...

FYI folks… check out the latest issue (#16) of Arise magazine, the international Diaspora style and culture print and online glossy. Shadow & Act is profiled in their BLOGWATCH section.

The cover of the issue is what you see above.

The profile is only in the print version unfortunately, so I can't link to it. But I did snap the photo you see below, which you can click on. If the magazine is on sale in your neck of the woods, the profile is on page 29.

Thanks to Arise for the international love; and if you're not already familiar with the magazine, visit their website HERE; or follow them on Facebook HERE, or Twitter HERE.

We've certainly used them as a source of info on more than a few occasions.

I saw one issue a few months back that had a small article about an artist who made beautiful eye-wear art out of random ordinary objects. i cannot remember his name, or his info. i forgot to write it down, and the next time i went looking for the magazine they had rotated to the next issue, and the bookstores no longer had the issue i saw. i emailed the website and everything, still havent gotten a response. i really want to find out who that brother was cause i loved his work. i believe it was issue # 14. thanks to anyone who might be able to help me with this.

When it's all said and done, Shadow and Act will be seen as a beacon and a major chronicler of black expression at this certain time. That is my belief. Good going!

This is GOOD news! Great work to the whole S&A team.

This is awesome Tambay! Although I think your blog is now more well-known than that magazine. Kudos to them though :)
