Producer Of '2016: Obama's America' Denies Charges Of Racism

The paranoid, right-wing, pseudo-documenatry, 2016: Obama’s America, has been a huge success at the box office, grossiing some $30 million to date.

Last month, Courtney covered the film (HERE) and we got a ton of comments – especially from hardcore fans of the film, saying how much they loved it, and that people stood up and applauded at the end of the film, in the theaters where they saw it -no doubt, the same type of people who stand up and applaud at cross burnings.

In reality, 2016 is nothing more than a modern day version of the infamous 1962 TV special Red Nightmare, starring Jack Webb (of Dragnet fame), which painted a nightmare of a future America, after a takeover by the then communist Soviet Union, which had become a grim, oppressive, totalitarian hell hole.

But let’s be totally honest here: do you really think that if Obama were, say, a white guy named O’Bama, who could trace his family to County Cork, would such a documentary exist in the first place? Yeah, I don’t think so either.

But hey, just don’t go by my words. The film, directed by right wing conversative pundit and lacky Dinesh D’Souza, based on his book, The Roots of Obama’s Rage, says that the President is an angry, anti-American “Third World upstart, filled with anti-colonialist rage taught to him by his father. You know, the one he only met once in his entire life.

Entertanment Weekly magazine likened the film to “a Republican ‘Southern strategy,’ which contends that the GOP attempts to win elections by appealing to the racist sentiments in America.

But however, the producer of the film, Gerald Molen, who produced such Steven Spielberg films such as Schindler’s List, Jurassic Park, and Minority Report, said that the charges that his film is racist are “patently ridiculous,in an interview today with the website Mediate.

He further added, noting that the director of the film, D’Souza, is non-white, that “absolutely nothing contained in the film implies racism and if I were racist, I wouldn’t be aligning myself with him.

And some of my best friends are Indian.

Molen is upset that people would even think that he’s a racist: “It’s hard to be a racist in Hollywood (and) talk to anyone in Hollywood, and find them saying I’m racist. You can’t find anyone who will say it. There is not a racist bone in my body….Because we ask questions, we’re racist? That shows me that those critics operate from the bottom of the pit.

Like I say folks, you can’t make this stuff up. It writes itself.

But why doesn’t Molen like Obama? According to him: There’s just so much secrecy with Obama. Why won’t he release his school grades? Why can’t we have some insight into his academic prowess? Whether he wrote any great papers? Why doesn’t the media plead with this guy they have so much respect for to have him open up?

Or, in other words… translated: “If he wins again, black people will take over the country, start producing films with Spielberg, move into my house and have sex with my wife and daughter while blasting rap music all the time out of their cars.

But don’t be too hard on Molen. He clearly sees himself as a patriot: “We’re losing a lot of the personal individualism in this country. We see more of a nanny state now: it’s slowly becoming a society of makers and takers.

Hey, isn’t that EXACTLY the same thing Romney was secretly recorded saying at the $50,000 a plate dinner party the other day? Talk about birds of a feather.

I guess all this means that Molen will never hire me to work on any of his films; as if that was ever going to happen.

You're sooooooooooooo right. The right wing is sooooooooooooooooo afraid of foreign-born dark skinned men that they're spending $30 million dollars watching a movie produced by a dark skinned foreign-born man.

I don't know why this in't getting press, assuming the Q&A is real. It sounds too authentic to be a hoax. At 3:30 on this Youtube clip you have the producer of Schindler's List, Gerald R. Molen, responding to a question saying that he suspects Obama is a muslim and that he was not born in the United States. Where is Steven Spielberg?

Obama Effect

For those of you who don’t believe that 2016 reflects Obama’s America, we encourage you to check out The Obama Effect.” You can watch it on demand here: and or you can pre-order it on DVD here: It will be released on DVD on election day!

I'm sure this post will be filtered, Its the liberal way. However, I watched the movie and I didn't see one single racist thing in it. The movie did have many facts about who Obama really is. The fact that most Obama supporters don't really even know the man is funny as hell and at the same time scary. The guy has absolutely no record before becoming president. He gets elected because the media backs him. Then he digs the biggest financial hole the country has ever seen and people want to reelect him. To be honest the only people I see being racist are the people writing articles like this and the left wing media.

All I'm going to say is that anyone who seriously thinks that Obama is a socialist needs their head examined. If he were truly socialist, he would have probably nationalized the banks during the financial crisis when he first came into office and did what Iceland did to their bankers, who caused their economy to crash. Also, if people took the time to think about it rationally, he wouldn't have garnered as much support that he got from Wall Street during his first run, that is if you consider Tim Geithner a socialist? People understand this, politicians from both parties are pretty much bought and sold. If anyone believes anything coming out of our current crop of politicians needs a serious reality check. Understand this, if you are not in a position to make a serious contribution to any of their campaigns, then they probably don't give a rat's ass about any of your concerns. One side may not screw you as bad as the other, but somehow, someway, you'll get screwed. Sounds pretty cynical, right? but until the average American starts caring about the country and less about reality TV, folks we are seriously up the creek. Just my two cents worth.

"the same people who stand and applaud at cross burnings"???? are you seriously that ignorant??? Not that I've ever seen one, but I doubt very much I would applaud at that. I despise racism, but I also despise people who use the "race" card at every turn to defend a president who is a socialist/communist. This has nothing to do with skin color, but everything to do with the "content of his character" as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr put it. MLK desired that people be judged by the content of their character, and I am telling you that and that alone is the reason I stood to applaud this movie as it reveals the true content of Obama's character, or rather, lack thereof. Give us all a break, stop using the worn out over used "race card" defense, and deal with the real issues here!

"if Obama were white do you think this documentary would exist?"

What a dumb question! What color is Bush? And yet Farenheit 911 exists! Are you really that lacking in intellect? I would bet money that you haven't even seen the movie you are ragging on. Which is too bad. It is actually quite good.

THIS article is actually racists as well. It's sad you try and pull the race card without a hint of irony, you are using racist remarks yourself you hypocrite. How is this movie ANY DIFFERENT than fahrenheit 911? It's the same situation reversed and somehow YOU think a double standard is OK.

Whatever happened to unbiased reporting? This is a shameful excuse for a movie review.

Your openmindedness and toleration of differing viewpoints is stifling.

D'Souza is the one full of rage. And Obama probably laughs at beta male D'Souza's seething hatred and frustrated insecurity at least once every day. I know that I do.

We all know that anyone with a hint of Hinduism in their philosophy is diametrically opposed to anything perceived as remotely Muslim. Obama has been painted with a velatura of Islamic leanings by his opposition, so this D'Souza guy is like a natural enemy of Obama as their different memes clash. I don't think conversion to Catholicism has expunged D'Souza's Hindu DNA entirely. Was it Ptolemy or somebody from back in the day that said that once you have a drop of one thing in another you can never quite get it all out? This is also why whites fear the black phallus, it threatens their disappearance-more powerful than nuclear annihilation-able to fell tall white women in a single bound. Anyway Muslims and Hindus are natural enemies as their theology is totally opposite one another. With that stated this D'Souza is definitely suspect in his motives. I have not seen the movie.

I have read quite a few unfavorable reviews by the liberal, left-wing movie critics about the ' 2016 Obama's America ' documentary. But, I have yet seen any documentary by any movie producers praising Obama on how great a President he has been for the past 3 1/2 years. If any one knows of such a documentary playing nationwide, please let me know and I will buy the popcorn and soda for us while we watch this documentary.

Peachy Keen

First of all, Dinesh D'Souza is just suspect. A former Hindu who converted to Catholicism. No doubt for political purposes, BUT he still apparently has the heart of a caste loving Hindu. Clearly.

sickof liberal bs

Forget the mans color, what the hell is wrong with you, he could be yellow tan orange purple whie blue, whatever, the man is a socialist pure and simple, he is changing this country, where did Obama get hsi money from, how did he pay for his school, where is his real birth certificate, you guys all talk about Romneys Taxes, the man gives away a huge amount of money, he didnt take a pay check as a governor, he didnt take a check as the head of the Olympics, the real racists are thsoie who only vote for Obama cause hes blac, vote for the mans policies and his record, stop with the typical liberal banter.

They are worried about the release of grades and Romney won't release his fucking taxes . . . eye roll . . . they have nothing better to do than to lie!

other song

I'd be more surprised if producer said, 'yeah, I was being racist'. He might even get a slow clap out of me.

There must be lots of cross burnings where you live.

I don't say this lightly: this might be the absolute worst review I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. Not a single articulate counterpoint to any content in the documentary. Not one intelligent piece of analysis refuting D'Souza's ideological points. More than a dozen paragraphs of rank, willful, race-pimping, that only serves to enflame the worst tendencies of the people who might enjoy this, and disgust the rest of us.

Glad to see you back, Sergio.
