'Silver Linings Playbook' Will Screen at San Diego Film Festival

David O. Russell’s ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ will screen at the 11th Annual San Diego Film Festival. Starring Bradley Cooper, Robert DeNiro, and Jennifer Lawrence, the film has already been generating Oscar buzz and critical acclaim after its debut at Toronto, where it nabbed the People’s Choice Award. The Weinstein-produced comedy-drama is the follow-up to Russell’s ‘The Fighter,’ another Academy favorite.

“The addition of ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ to our slate once again demonstrates that the San Diego Film Festival is upping the ante in a big way this year,” said Festival Program Director Tonya Mantooth. Other notable films in the lineup include ‘The Sapphires,’ ‘The Oranges,’ and ‘Seven Psychopaths.’

‘Silver Linings Playbook’ will screen on September 28 at the Gaslamp District’s Reading Theater.
