David O. Russell wastes no time. After winning Toronto’s Audience Award with “Silver Linings Playbook” (Oscars, here it comes), he’s lined up the film’s star, Bradley Cooper, “The Fighter”‘s Amy Adams and Christian Bale, and Jeremy Renner for a new untitled ensemble project. Russell is now writing the screenplay with Eric Warren Singer, who wrote the original script.
Atlas Entertainment and Annapurna Pictures will produce. “Silver Linings Playbook” producer Jon Gordon will exec produce along with Cooper and Warren Singer. Annapurna is also financing the project, which will kick off in February, with Columbia Pictures set to handle US distribution in 2013.

Based on the true story of a notorious financial con artist (Bale) and his mistress/partner in crime (Adams), who were forced to work with an out of control federal agent (Cooper) to turn the tables on other con artists, mobsters, and politicians. At the epicenter of the entire tale, is the passionate and volatile leader of the New Jersey state assembly (Renner) who is also the local hero and mayor of impoverished Camden.
