Ditch Davey, Amber Clayton, Peta Sargeant, Nicholas Bell, John Brumpton and Leslie Simpson star in the story of a group of elite soldiers that infiltrate a top-secret Australian military compound only to discover that it’s a testing ground for something sinister. Dix, Eddie Baroo and Adam Patrick Foster wrote the screenplay.
Dix also produced along with John Finemore and Nicholas Sherry; Greg McLean, James Hoppe, Silvio Salom, Stephen Wools and Craig McMahon are executive producers.
“‘Crawlspace’ is the best sci-fi action film I’ve seen in a long time, from the great concept to production design that would be the envy of Ridley Scott and James Cameron,” said Sundance Selects/IFC Films president Jonathan Sehring. “We are thrilled to be announcing Justin Dix as a new major voice in genre cinema and look forward to distributing the film across all of our platforms.”
Sundance Selects/IFC Films exec Jeff Deutchman negotiated the deal with Nate Bolotin of XYZ Films on behalf of the filmmakers.
A sister label of IFC Films and Sundance Selects, IFC Midnight has recently released “Sexual Chronicles of a French Family,” “The Pact” and “The Snowtown Murders.” Forthcoming releases include “The Incident,” “Room 237” and “The Taste of Money.”
